I was going through some of my old poetry and thought i’d post a few today……
Landmines
down the steps
out into the sunshine
into the chemical mist
unexpected, deadly, unseen
taking with it
a life once fully lived
the landscape forever changed
the world no longer
welcoming
with days spent
dodging chemical landmines
and the stupidity
of the unaffected
